Utterback is the premier arts magnet middle school in Tucson, Arizona. Administration, faculty and staff are dedicated to preparing all students in grades 6 through 8 to become productive, creative, citizens of the 21st Century. Through the integration of the arts into core subject areas and an interdisciplinary, project-based learning approach to instruction, students have many opportunities to develop skills in problem solving, collaboration, and innovation as they learn content in meaningful ways. Arts specialists provide expertise that allows students to become informed consumers of the arts, as well as producers and performers of art. The building itself is a showcase of the many talents of our students and we invite you to come take a tour or attend a performance so that you can experience arts and academics in action at Utterback.

Original Art – Turning every child’s artwork into professionally made products
We are pleased to announce that during the month of March, we will be running the Original Works Program at
Utterback
Magnet
Middle School.
Original Works is the #1 art based fundraising company in the country, and currently works with thousands of schools and hundreds of thousands of students each year.
In business since 1989, Original Works will take each child’s very own artwork and reproduce it onto a variety of high quality products.
These range from magnets, mugs and mouse pads to tiles, t-shirts, note cards and nearly two dozen other products.
Each child is eligible to participate in this wonderful program.
Once the artwork is created, parents and children will have the opportunity to select which product or products they would like to feature their artwork.
The program is designed to encourage creativity and student self-esteem.
The resulting products make unique gifts that are practical for any season or occasion.
Remember Mother’s Day is in May.
